Let’s Bring Back the Magic into our lives!

We Boomers, Seniors, and Senior Millennials grew up in a special time when we were FREE to live our dreams… we could safely play outside, and we relied on our imaginations. There was spontaneity, freedom, and creativity in our lives.  But today, life has become too organized, controlled, and imagination has been lost to high tech where we are glued to our phones and computers. This BLOG/PODCAST series focuses on the issues of bringing back the MAGIC that defined our lives. Let’s REMEMBER the MAGIC that we had … and bring it back into our lives.

Magical Music From Plants and Trees

When I was a little girl, I loved to play outside in my grandmother’s garden. It was so beautiful with the many colors from pansies, azalea bushes, tulips, roses, and so many more flowers and flowering plants. I used to grab a banana shrub, rub it in my hands, and smell the sweet fragrance, and then hide between some azalea bushes so no one could see me. I waited… then the little animals like the squirrels, chipmunks, and rabbits, would come out to do their daily duties… and I “froze still,” without any movement, so that I could watch them.

Growing up in the 1950s through the 70s and 80s was a unique time where much of our lives was spent outside. We were constantly playing in nature. Plants and trees have unique lives (or existences), energies, and makeup, just like we do. Did you know they can make music???

Watch the video above! The artist is bringing us back to our connection with nature in a new way. There is so much beauty and magic around us on earth. We just need to open our eyes and hearts to see it again!

REMEMBERING THE PAST

Winston Churchill said, “A nation that forgets its past has no future.”

Without the memories of our past, we cannot operate in the present or even think about the future. And we would undoubtedly repeat our mistakes because we would lack the memory of the consequences from our experiences.  Memories are the building blocks for learning from mistakes and making decisions.  This helps us to build our character and personality. So, what would we do without our memories?
