A BOOMER, A SHAKER

A LOVER OF GREAT MUSIC!

Maggie Wright

Maggie Wright is a radio personality, bestselling author and marketing consultant. She is one of the original founders of a community radio station in Sun City West, Arizona that promotes golden oldie music (SunCityWestRadio.com), where she contributed to the strategic development of the station and led the branding development effort. She created, produces, and hosts, Boomer Tunes with Maggie Wright, a popular golden oldie music radio show (10 am Fridays, 2 pm Mondays, Arizona time).

Being an animal lover, Maggie fell in love with African grey parrots. Her three African grey companions, Merlin Tewillager, Sweetpea, and Kyaaro, inspired her to create a magazine on African greys called The Grey Play Roundtable. It was published for over ten years to help African grey parrot owners better care for their pet grey companions. She is also the author of the popular Barron’s Publishing pet manual on African grey parrots, titled, African Grey Parrots: A Complete Pet Owner’s Manual, which has sold over 100,000 copies and helped thousands of pet African greys and their pet humans.

Maggie started out her career in big-brand packaged goods marketing where she has worked on many brands, such as, Chef Boyardee pizza and pasta, Gulden’s mustard, Jiffy Pop popcorn, Mueller’s pasta, and Popsicle ice pops. She test-marketed and introduced nationally Oreo Cookies N’ Cream Ice Cream, which resulted in $140 million first year sales… and it was one of the largest grocery new product entries in the 1980s.

Maggie Wright LOVES golden oldie mass music that triggers memories, touches the emotions, and ignites the soul. Her new radio music show, Maggie’s Musical Den, is being created to bring Boomers and Seniors together to build a community where we share our memories of growing up and our favorite music from the 1950s through the 80s and beyond… and we help each other through this chaotic time.

We Boomers and Seniors share a common heritage... a special time in history. You are invited to share your favorite memories of growing up and your favorite music that made your feet tap and move!
